Civil
Civil Engineering executes full development of sites, including complex
grading and drainage; underground utility systems, transportation and

Structural
In the Structural group, we have vast experience in light and heavy
concrete and steel design for industrial, institutional and commercial
facilities. Projects have included building expansions and structural
refurbishing as well as new design. We have experience in foundation
design using concrete piles, caissons and mats for difficult soil conditions
and heavy equipment foundation support.

Our experience in this field includes complex retrofit projects,

INSTRUMENTATION - CONTROL SYSTEMS
AEG maintains a partnering relation with a design firm fully capable of
handling a complete range of design projects from specialized instrument
design and process plant control instrumentation systems, to integrated
control systems for industrial applications.

The group is thoroughly familiar with the design of complex systems, and
equipment specifications. They can choose the proper equipment to
implement control strategies for general site utility services as well as
critical process controls.

PROCESS
Process engineering entails active participation in projects from conceptual
design through detailed engineering and plant start-up. AEG utilizes the services
of an external consulting firm (though a partnering agreement) to perform
all process design and related activities for all of its projects.

The process engineering effort normally starts with participation in client
discussions to define the project and set the process design basis, and may
include handling of licensor negotiations and contracts. Our process
engineering effort is concentrated on preparing process flow sheets, heat
and material balances, data sheets and piping and instrumentation diagrams.

In addition, our process engineers provide detailed engineering such as
specifying instrumentation and relief systems, reviewing equipment vendor
drawings and bid summaries and participating in model reviews. Other
process services include writing operating manuals, providing field
checkout services and assisting with plant start-up.

VALIDATION SERVICES
AEG’s Validation Services Group represents our commitment to safeguard
your company against costly design oversights and time-consuming
modifications before, during and after plant certification.

Our Validation Group maintains a staff of specialists dedicated to
providing outstanding validation services to client companies.  These services
are aimed at compliance of regulatory requirements such as the
Current Manufacturing Practices for Finished Pharmaceuticals (21 CFR 211);
the Good Manufacturing Practices for Medical Devices (21 CFR 820) of the
Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act; the Guide to Inspection of
Computerized Systems in Drug Processing; and related Compliance Policy
Guides as required by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
