PROCESS
Process engineering entails active participation in projects
from conceptual
design through detailed engineering and plant start-up. AEG
utilizes the services
of an external consulting firm (though a partnering
agreement) to perform
all process design and related activities for all of its
projects.
The process engineering effort normally starts with
participation in client
discussions to define the project and set the process
design basis, and may
include handling of licensor negotiations and contracts.
Our process
engineering effort is concentrated on preparing process flow sheets,
heat
and material balances, data sheets and piping and instrumentation
diagrams.
In addition, our process engineers provide detailed engineering
such as
specifying instrumentation and relief systems, reviewing equipment
vendor
drawings and bid summaries and participating in model reviews. Other
process services include writing operating manuals, providing field
checkout
services and assisting with plant start-up.
